"He's better? Why? Because he won the game? No way. I'm the best player, and that's not being cocky. It's not about matchups. It's about winning the game."

Those were Tobias Harris' (Half Hollow Hills West) words for Jayvaughn Pinkston (Bishop Loughlin) after HHHW defeated Loughlin 75-72 in OT at the 7th Annual High School Invitational at Baruch College in Manhattan. Despite having lost, Pinkston remarked that he was the better player. "Hands down, nobody's better than me right now," Pinkston said. "I proved it tonight who's the better player."

Pinkston did have the better numbers scoring 34 points and grabbing 16 rebounds. Harris went for 19 points but was accompanied by Tavon Sledge (21 points and 7 assists) and younger brother Tyler Harris (24 points and 8 rebounds). The balanced attack of HHHW proved to be the difference in the HHHW win.

As for who is the better, it is still too soon to tell. Harris and Pinkston are talented, confident players and will continue to prove themselves this year as well as showcase their talents on the national level in the upcoming years as Harris is headed to Tennesee and Pinkston to Villanova. For now, with the win over Pinkston and Bishop Loughlin, Harris has the edge.
